Carousel/Guest Services Attendants

Responsible for the safe operation of the Carousel at Mill River Park.

Job Duties:

Operates the Carousel, following strict safety and mechanical procedures.

  • Provides public with information and riding instructions, resolves complaints and disputes by patrons.
  • Reports mechanical problems to supervisor, inspects grounds for cleanliness.
  • Relays all complaints and accidents to proper supervisor.
  • Assures the ride and ride area is maintained cleaned throughout the day.
  • Thorough knowledge of proper usage and safety factors of the Carousel.
  • Ability to give and enforce simple instructions.
  • Supports birthday parties and other special events at the Carousel.
  • Ability to get along well with others; reliability; good judgment; tact.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Will be required to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Computer literacy. Strong knowledge of all Microsoft applications.
  • Must have the ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel and lift up to forty pounds occasionally
  • Be able to work within a team environment to accomplish common goals.
  • Must be willing to take direction from managers and supervisors.
  • Must have a good grasp of reading, writing, and math.

Food Services Staff

Responsible for preparation, serving, and sale of various food items at the Carousel Pavilion.

 Job Duties:

  • Prepare and serve food with a smile!
  • Maintain an organized cash register for sale of products.
  • Monitor food temperatures during holding and serving.
  • Adhere to all company policies, including cash handling.
  • Observe proper sanitation guidelines at all times (hair restrained, hand washing, etc.).
  • Perform clean-up duties of all kinds before, during, and after a shift.
  • Exhibit proper Guest Service Skills at all times.
  • Report to work on time, as scheduled. Follow guidelines for proper notification of sick leave and vacations.
  • May be shifted to various locations, as staffing needs dictate.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Report all violations of company policy to management.
  • Responsible for adhering to Mill River Park uniform and grooming guidelines.

Maintenance Technician

The maintenance position is vital to the overall cleanliness and first impression of the Guests. Our maintenance staff is responsible for cleaning, repairing, and maintaining the Park grounds, interior and exterior of our building.

Job Duties

  • Delivers an unparalleled Guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks and games in an ideal environment for celebrating all out fun.
  • Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action.
  • Safely and correctly operates all equipment.
  • Uses all chemicals properly in the correct quantities for safety and cost control.
  • Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • Controls costs by not overstocking or disposing of unused materials.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen and dish areas, floors, walls and drains.
  • Responsible for maintenance storage areas, cleanliness and stocking.
  • Cleans and maintains all windows, lamps, mirrors and light fixtures.
  • Cleans and maintains floors and walls, and tile.
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of all restroom areas, including restocking of supplies.
  • Polish all rails and hardware.
  • Cleans and maintains all ceiling fans, air intakes and HVAC air vents.
  • Cleans and maintains all mats.
  • Empties trash and cleans and maintains trash cans.
  • Assists other Team Members as needed or when business needs dictate.
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company Team Members to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate that will be conducive to maximum Team Member morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness.
  • Must be friendly and able to smile a lot while working days, nights, and/or weekends as required.
  • Previous maintenance experience at a hotel or restaurant is preferred, but not required.
  • Must demonstrate ability to easily communicate with Guests and other Team Members.
  • Must be disciplined and self-motivated.
  • Is dressed in accordance with dress guidelines, looking neat, clean and professional at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Work days, nights and/or weekends as required.
  • Work in noisy, fast paced environment with distracting conditions.
  • Read and write handwritten notes.
  • Lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Move about facility and stand for long periods of time.
  • Walk or stand 100% of shift.
  • Reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep and wipe frequently.
